Geopipe and its founders have been recognized as "SBIR/STTR Recipients of the Year" by the New York District office of the US Small Business Administration. The award is part of the celebration of National Small Business Week, an annual event that since 1963 has recognized the contributions and achievements of small businesses in driving the US economy. These awards are given nationwide, and also include recognition of women-led, immigrant-led, and young entrepreneur-led small business, among others.

“This is a great opportunity to recognize those small businesses that have contributed significantly to their local communities, developed creative products or made advances with innovative technologies,” SBA Administrator Linda McMahon said. “A National Small Business Week award is one of the nation’s highest honors for small business achievement. " As a small and growing business supported by the National Science Foundation, Geopipe is proud to represent what can be created by a passionate team, and honored to receive this distinction.

You can find more information at the SBA's announcement, and if you're interested in attending the awards ceremony recognizing Geopipe and other awardees in the NY district on May 7th, you can get your tickets here.
